As the Website Manager for the Investments & Wealth Institute, I led a comprehensive website optimization initiative focused on improving the organization’s digital presence, search engine performance, and overall user experience. Working closely with marketing, content, design, and development teams, I oversaw website strategy, content governance, branding enhancements, and ongoing SEO improvements while ensuring the website aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

One of the project’s most impactful initiatives was leading the migration of the organization’s HubSpot-hosted blog to the primary website domain. Consolidating the blog into the main site strengthened the Institute’s SEO strategy by centralizing content, improving domain authority, eliminating fragmented search performance, and creating a more seamless user experience. Along with the migration, I implemented content and technical SEO improvements that enhanced readability, strengthened site architecture, and positioned the website for long-term organic growth.

Key Contributions & Accomplishments

  • Led website management, SEO strategy, and digital content optimization for the organization’s primary website.
  • Planned and managed the migration of the company blog from HubSpot to the primary domain to strengthen domain authority and improve organic keyword performance.
  • Developed a more cohesive website structure and navigation to improve usability, content discovery, and search engine crawlability.
  • Enhanced branding and visual consistency across the website, creating a more modern and engaging digital experience.
  • Improved on-page SEO by optimizing page titles, meta descriptions, header structure, image alt text, internal linking, and keyword targeting.
  • Reorganized website content to improve readability, accessibility, and alignment with user search intent.
  • Conducted keyword research and content optimization to identify opportunities for expanding organic search visibility.
  • Reviewed website analytics and SEO performance to prioritize optimization efforts and support data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Partnered with designers, developers, content creators, and business stakeholders to deliver website enhancements and maintain SEO best practices.
  • Established content governance standards to improve consistency, quality, and long-term website maintenance.
  • Identified and resolved technical SEO issues affecting indexing, duplicate content, broken links, redirects, and crawlability.
  • Recommended improvements to page layouts, calls to action, and user experience to increase engagement and support lead generation.

Results

This project modernized the Institute’s digital presence while creating a stronger technical and content foundation for long-term SEO success. By consolidating the blog into the primary domain, improving website architecture, optimizing on-page SEO, and enhancing the overall user experience, the organization was better positioned to increase organic visibility, strengthen keyword rankings, and provide a more cohesive experience for members and prospective clients.
